Roadtripping back to Tarpon Springs from Nesbit, Mississippi my pup and I made a stop to hike at the Florida Caverns State Park. Then back on the road and a quick three hours later it was time for another pit stop. I decided to continue to follow signs for inspiration and that led me to Horseshoe Beach in Dixie County. It’s about twenty minutes off US19 on the Gulf.

After driving around a bit and exploring by foot I did see some interesting things although a beach was not one of them. This tiny town has a very quirky style that I really dig. It seems like this is mainly a fishing town with lots of rental properties.

Some of the houses had their own unique flavor…

I’d love to pop back up here sometime during scallop season check into a rental and see more of what this lil town has to offer.
