My partner in crime on this roadtrip has family in this small town of Deutsch Schützen-Eisenberg and they have a few different vacation houses sprinkled throughout the town. Considering we were there VERY off season we had our pick and chose Casablanca (the white house). It was a bit of work getting the hang of the wood burning stove to get the place heated up!
These “Kellerstöckl” homes are super cute and most of them have a cellar where they make and store their homemade schnapps and wine. I tried quite a bit of both and can say I’m now an expert. Delicious! In the summer and spring you have beautiful views of the vineyards, hills and the village. I’ll have to go back when the weather is better!
