While visiting family in my Mom’s hometown we were shown this little gem in the tiny town of Steinberg, Germany. It’s called the Weidenkirche which translates to “Pasture Church” and is tucked away off a small dirt road behind some houses. There are no traditional walls, ceiling, windows or doors… just nature. It was designed by nature artist Thomas Hofmann and completed in 2004.
This is my kind of church.
