Crawling around town on a grey, windy, cold day in London with our group of German tourists our gracious and extremely patient tour guide brought us to the St Paul Cathedral area. He was going to give us a half an hour of free roaming and we were to meet back up. Hungry and chilled to the bone we sought out a restaurant to warm and fill up. Stumbling upon The Happenstance was great luck. Great funky design, creative libations and a lot of delish sounding foods on the menu. I went super simple, comfort food style with an elderberry flower lemonade with mac’n cheese. The decision to stay and eat there was totally worth ditching our group for the day.
